 timeless classic has enchanted generation of readers with its memorable ch
 aracters\, gentle wisdom\, and enduring charm. One hundred years on\, we i
 nvite scholars\, readers\, and enthusiasts alike to return to the Hundred 
 Acres Wood and reflect on the lasting appeal of Pooh and his friends. The 
 day will begin with an academic "sym-pooh-sium" from 9:00 am\, featuring a
  plenary lecture by Professor Peter Hunt\, parallel sessions exploring new
  approaches to children's literature\, an illustration workshop\, and more
 . From 3:00 pm\, we welcome the wider Homerton community for a celebratory
  afternoon of Pooh-inspired delights\, including a themed "smackerel" of a
 fternoon tea and a keynote lecture from Kathryn Aalto\, author of The Natu
 ral World of Winnie-the-Pooh. Throughout the day\, guests will have the op
 portunity to explore a special exhibition drawn from the College Library's
  renowned children's literature collections\, contribute a poem or song to
  our "Hums of Homerton"\, and discover points of natural interest around t
 he College's beautiful gardens - our very own enchanted place. Whether you
  are a lifelong admirer of Pooh Bear or simply curious to revisit the Hund
 red Acre Wood\, we hope you will join us for this unique celebration of li
 terary treasure.
