DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to invite you to Jesus College\, in collabor
 ation with The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI)\, fo
 r an interactive talk and performance by artists Yusuke Kuriki and Fernand
 o Kague\, in which they explore the intersection of technology\, gender\, 
 migration\, and independent artistic practices in Tokyo. Tickets are avail
 able below. Drawing on The Sarau\, an independent curatorial platform conn
 ecting emerging artists and multidisciplinary practitioners\, Yusuke and F
 ernando will present a selection of artists and projects that engage with 
 identity\, belonging\, cultural hybridity\, gender\, and diasporic experie
 nces. This approach will then be discussed as a case study of artist-led c
 ultural production\, focusing on how independent platforms\, alternative s
 paces\, digital technologies\, and collaborative networks can create new f
 orms of artistic exchange and community-building beyond established instit
 utional structures. About Yusuke Kuriki Yusuke Kuriki is a Japanese–Kore
 an artist currently pursuing an MA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins\, wor
 king across painting\, sculpture\, and installation. His practice often be
 gins with encounters with everyday objects\, architectural structures and 
 fragments\, and natural and technological phenomena. He displaces things f
 rom their usual contexts and places them in unfamiliar conditions. By alte
 ring their functions and relationships\, he creates situations in which fa
 miliar things become difficult to recognise\, allowing less visible and sp
 eculative behaviours to emerge. About Fernando Kague Fernando Henrique Kag
 ue is a brazilian interdisciplinary artist and producer based in Tokyo. Hi
 s practice explores migration\, ancestry\, family histories\, masculinity\
 , and displacement through performance\, installation\, and audiovisual ex
 perimentation. He is the founder of The Sarau\, an artist-led platform con
 necting creative communities across Tokyo and internationally\, creating s
 paces for cultural exchange and independent artistic practices. As a Nikke
 i (japanese descendant) artist and the son and grandson of immigrants\, hi
 s work is informed by experiences of navigating different cultural context
 s and their intersections with beliefs and practices. About The Leverhulme
