SUMMARY:People’s Emergency Briefing: Film Screening and Discussion
LOCATION:Cambridge University: Storey’s Field Centre
DESCRIPTION:What’s happening with climate and nature\, and what does it
mean for everyday life in the UK? Join Greenpeace Cambridge for a screenin
 g of the People’s Emergency Briefing – an eye-opening 50-minute film b
ringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest ev
idence and why it matters for things like extreme weather\, food security\
, health and the cost of living. The film is based on the National Emergen
cy Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV\, Channel 4 and The Times) wit
h appearances from Chris Packham\, Deborah Meaden\, and a range of voices
from across the UK. After the screening there will be an open discussion a
bout what it means for our community and what we can do locally. Light ref
reshments will be available. This is not a party-political event\, and the
re is no expectation that attendees sign up to any campaign or organisatio
 n. The aim is simply to learn\, reflect and discuss.
