topping Disease Before It Starts For many years\, healthcare has largely f
ocused on treating illness after it occurs. Today\, however\, researchers
are increasingly exploring how diseases can be prevented before they devel

and Kamen Tsvetanov who are both changing the way we think about health an
d disease prevention in the fields of cancer and dementia Cambridge is hom
e to world-leading research in disease prevention\, bringing together clin
ical expertise\, population health research\, advanced technologies and th
e responsible use of health data. Through the NIHR Biomedical Research Cen

ractical ways to identify disease earlier\, target prevention more effecti
vely and improve health outcomes for future generations. Join us to hear h
ow prevention research is changing the way we think about health\, and how
research today could help stop disease before it starts tomorrow. An hour

a poster-and-networking session where you can take the opportunity to cha
t with local researchers about their research\, over light lunch and refre
