 tartups).\n\nTalk: Building Climate Innovation Platforms at Scale – a pe
 rspective from the Global South\nThis Distinguished Enterprise Lecture ref
 lects on a journey from serial founder-entrepreneur to co-founding Climate
  Collective Foundation\, South Asia’s largest climate tech startup platf
 orm – now expanding across the Global South.\nThe keynote focuses on a c
 entral question: how do we move from building successful companies to buil
 ding ecosystems that consistently produce climate innovation at scale?\nDr
 awing on real-world experience\, the talk examines the role of the ecosyst
 em orchestrator and the enterprise choices that underpin it: platform desi
 gn across acceleration\, capital\, piloting with large incumbents\, and a 
 vibrant community\; blended financial models that align philanthropic gran
 ts\, corporate demand\, and commercial revenues\; and partnership strategi
 es spanning government\, corporates/utilities\, multilaterals (e.g. UNEZA@
 IRENA) and academia (e.g. Undaunted@Imperial).\nThe talk will conclude wit
 h a forward look at the next phase of the Global South climate transition 
 (and Climate Collective’s role in it)\; along with initial ideas and an 
 open-forum discussion on collaboration opportunities with Imperial College
  London.\nThis lecture forms part of the Department of Chemical Engineerin
 g’s annual Distinguished Seminar Series 2026\, and is open to department

         Nalin is a Founding Partner at the Climate Collective Foundation
  (South Asia’s largest climate tech startup support platform)\; and\, a
  Founding Partner at the Climate Seeds Fund (an upcoming pre-Series A V
 C fund for Indian climate tech startups).\nPreviously\, he was India Progr
 am Director for New Energy Nexus (the world’s leading ecosystem of fund
 s and accelerators supporting diverse clean energy entrepreneurs). Before 
 that\, he was Associate Partner with the PR Group\, which through its JV w
 ith Fonroche Energie (France) commissioned 23MW of utility-scale solar\; a
 dditionally\, commissioned 60MW of wind projects.\nNalin has a MSc in Sust
 ainable Energy Futures from the Imperial College London\, and a B.Tech 
 (Mechanical) from MNIT Jaipur\, India.\nNalin is a regular speaker on clim
 ate tech startup acceleration\, venture funding\, climate tech innovation
  ecosystems\, AI in climate\; as well as clean energy and related topics.
