 arian leader\, will discuss how medicine\, leadership and politics interse
 ct in real humanitarian settings. Dr Christou will share what he has learn
 t from years of clinical and operational work with Médecins Sans Frontiè
 res\, and where he sees opportunities for academic institutions to contrib

 , moderating a fireside conversation with Dr Christou\, followed by an aud

 ct with fellow guests over drinks.\n\nAbout the speaker \nDr Christos Chri
 stou is a surgeon and humanitarian leader and former International Preside
 nt of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)\, a role he held from 2019 to 2025.
  \nDr Christou’s career is dedicated to equitable access to care. His c
 areer includes leading Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) through multiple h
 umanitarian crises\, including Ebola and COVID-19. He is also a visiting p
 rofessor at Harvard.\nIn 2025\, he was one of TIME magazine’s 100 most i
 nfluential people in philanthropy. \n\n\nAbout the Institute of Global He
 alth Innovation \nThe Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI) is one
  of Imperial College London’s global challenge institutes. We empower pe
