 ctor is one of the world’s largest manufacturing industries by market ca
 pitalisation and the largest industrial consumer of fossil fuels. Therefor
 e\, the chemicals sector is of considerable importance to both investors a
 nd global efforts to achieve climate goals.This webinar\, organised by the
  TPI Global Climate Transition Centre (TPI Centre) at the London School of
  Economics and Political Science (LSE)\, will first present the Centre’s
  novel approach to assessing the sector (see the Carbon Performance assess
 ment of chemical producers: methodology note) and key findings from recent
  assessments of 23 of the largest companies in the chemicals sector. Follo
 wing the presentation\, the panel discussion will explore barriers and ena
 bling factors such as financing and policy frameworks for the low-carbon t
 ransition in chemicals. The panel will bring together perspectives from ac
