Please join us for this open conversation to explore the stories and thoughts that underpin the Alison Richard Building’s current exhibition 'Attention is the Rarest and Purest Form of Generosity'. In a time when all our attentions are too often and easily distracted by the onslaught of information and daily news dissemination, these five artists with five distinct practices offer instead a space of commonality and reflection. This is an exhibition that works to reveal the significance of the act of attention that underpins all creative process. Led by artist, writer and facilitator Beverley Carruthers, this conversation is an opportunity to hear the ideas behind the work and consider the larger questions about how art and art-making can offer an important space for attention in an increasingly distracted world.
