This term's Faraday Institute public lecture will be held on Wednesday 21st October at 6pm in the Yusuf Hamied Theatre, Christ’s College. The speaker will be the 2026 Templeton Prize laureate Prof. Simon Conway Morris and his talk is entitled ‘Unique Humans in a Strange Universe’. It will be followed by a drinks reception and bookstall. Prof. Conway Morris, a groundbreaking palaeontologist at the University of Cambridge, has been awarded the 2026 Templeton Prize for his outstanding contributions to the field of evolutionary biology and his enduring efforts to explore the broader human implications of his scientific discoveries. The Templeton Prize was established in 1972 by Sir John Templeton to recognise discoveries that yielded new insights about religion.
