The Department of Bioengineering is proud to launch the Biannual Bioengineering Alumni Lecture, a new series celebrating the achievements of our graduates and the global impact of bioengineering.
Our inaugural lecture will be delivered by Ingeborg Dybdal Øie, a Biomedical Engineering MEng graduate whose career has spanned finance, innovation, healthcare, and sustainability. Ingeborg is passionate about the role capital markets can play in driving innovation, improving access to healthcare, and promoting better health worldwide.
After the lecture, join us for a networking reception bringing together current students and researchers, alumni, industry experts and leaders, our guest speaker, and invited guests. It’s a chance to share ideas, build connections, and explore potential collaborations.
Before the lecture, join us for the Bioengineering Industry Showcase to explore translational research, spin-outs, and the department’s industry connections. Learn more and register here: Bioengineering Industry Showcase.
About our speaker:
Ingeborg brings extensive experience in building and leading finance teams and scaling fast-growing, innovative businesses, particularly in the medical device and healthtech industries. Before her current role, she served as CFO of Huma, a platform for chronic disease management and clinical trial data collection, where she helped drive strong growth in recurring revenue and a blue-chip customer base, both organically and through mergers and acquisitions. She also previously worked as an analyst at Goldman Sachs, led investor relations at Smith & Nephew, and served as CFO at CMR Surgical.
Today, Ingeborg is the first-ever CFO of Agreena, Europe’s largest soil carbon programme, supporting over two million hectares of farmland in the transition to regenerative agriculture. Agreena is active in 18 markets and is expanding globally, diversifying its products and services through its leading monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) technology to provide supply chain solutions and financial services.
